West Africa Ceramic Ltd Presents Relief Materials Worth Millions Of Naira To KGSG For Flood Victims

West African Ceramics Limited, Ajaokuta has donated relief materials worth thirteen million naira to Kogi State Government for Flood victims in the state.

Chairman of the Company, Alhali Lawal Idrisu, while presenting the items to the state government in Lokoja, said the company deam it necessary to complement the efforts of the State Government to alleviate the stuffings of flood victims in the state.

Alhaji Idrisu who was represented by the Director, Human Resources Management, Abdulrahim Bello assured that the company will continue to partner with the state government in the area of the socio-economic development of the state.

The Chairman While sympathising with those who lost their lives and property in the cause of the flooding, commended the present administration for the proactive efforts toward mitigating devastating effects of the flood, and ensuring a secured environment for people and businesses to thrives.

Acting Executive Secretary, State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Mrs Margaret Aku, while receiving the relief materials on behalf of the state government, commended the company for the gesture and assured that the items will be distributed to the targeted victims according to expectations.

She noted that the present administration is working assiduously to mitigate the impact of the flood, pointing out that the support from corporate organizations in cushioning the effect of the flood is a welcome development as it would complement the efforts of the State Government.

The Acting Executive Secretary appealed to Organizations and well to do individuals to emulate the West African Ceramics Limited by contributing their quotas to ameliorate sufferings of the people affected by the flood.

Items donated include; bags of rice, cooking oil, salt, Master Chef, washing soap, Maggi cubes, mosquito nets among others.

The company had earlier distributed relief materials worth over four point five million naira to eight communities that were affected by the flood in Ajaokuta Local Government Area of the state.
